🌍 How to Connect to Your Minecraft Server

Learn how to join your Minecraft server in just a few minutes — works for both Java and Bedrock Edition.

💻 Java Edition 📱 Bedrock Edition 🌐 IP & Port ⚙️ Control Panel

Once your server is started in the control panel, you can connect to it directly from the Minecraft client. Follow the steps below to find your IP address and join the correct version.

🪜 Step-by-Step

  1. Start your server in the control panel and wait until the status shows Running.
  2. Find the IP address and port in the Dashboard menu of the control panel. Example: 127.0.0.1:8500
  3. Open the Minecraft client (Java or Bedrock) and go to the Multiplayer menu.
  4. Click “Add Server” (or “Add New Server” in Bedrock), and enter your server’s IP address.
  5. Press Join Server to connect!

💡 Tips

  • If you’re using the wrong Minecraft version, the server may reject the connection — make sure they match.
  • If you can’t connect, try restarting both Minecraft and your server before trying again.
  • Enter both the IP address and port when connecting to your server.

⚠️ Important

  • Make sure your server is started – you can’t connect while it’s stopped.
  • Always use the IP and port from your control panel, not old connection info.
  • Some modpacks require specific client versions to work correctly.
